About Us
Officially formed in 2013, the Bidford Primary Partnership has focused on providing outreach and resources to support quality science teaching and experiences for all pupils within our Warwickshire and Worcestershire schools.
Earth and Space has been a key feature of our programme, including a lecture and evening presentation from Dr Johanna Jarvis at St Bede’s Catholic Middle School followed by a two-day visit to the National Space Centre and several stargazing evenings at Bidford-on-Avon CofE Primary School with the Chipping Norton Amateur Astronomy Group. Dr Michael Ries from the University of Leeds provided an engaging lecture on prehistoric slime in a family learning night and Sphere Science held a forces circus workshop during National Science and Engineering Week.
Phil Jones from the Physics Factory ran a Continuing Professional Development session with teachers from the partnership schools to develop teacher subject knowledge of physics through a range of activities. Pupils from our partnership schools have also taken part in physics workshops at Birmingham University and a trip to the Symphony Hall, Birmingham for an introduction to the science of sound.
